I'm doing this because I've noticed I have a pattern horde I need to use of all sorts of accessories - purses, laptop bags, jewelry totes, sewing organizers, eyeglasses, etc. Also, I just got a darn lot of fabric I need to use (i.e. fabric horde). Making carriers will bring me peace - of mind, and more space.
I'm not holding myself to once a week because life happens (like the flu and vacation). Some items will be simple and some more advanced. The goal is to use as much fabric from my horde as possible. When that is not possible I will state why, like if the pattern is a tiny bag and most of my fabrics have 8" figures, which is true. Oh look at me, I'm already developing my defense to go fabric shopping and the New Year isn't even here yet!
You can view my folder at Pinterest where I've listed the patterns I will be using, most of which I already own. A few of the pdf patterns I might be purchasing to get a better variety.
What will I do with these carriers when I'm finished? I don't know. Some I will keep if I like or need them. Some are long unfinished projects I've promised to friends and family. Some I might give away on this blog (if I'm not too embarrassed by the results).
In the meantime, enjoy viewing the "The Boys" from Supernatural in the youtube.com video above. It looks like a compilation of several season finale openers.
