Of course nothing - not even not being able to hardly walk has kept me from attending the International Quilt Festival each year. Last year I got to work part-time for Quilts, Inc. the company that runs the festival, as a proofreader and data entry specialist. I typed all those little title plaques and description pages at the show. Well, I wasn't the only one. But it was fun seeing all the exhibition quilts before the show. So beautiful!

My DH got laid off from his Oil & Gas job, but so did almost everyone else in Houston. He's found a contract job, that is not in Oil & Gas (thank goodness), but I now have to find a job too. Also, we are experiencing the nightmare that is Obama Care. Ughh.
In the meantime, I've been collecting fabric for that time when I will feel back to normal and can sew and cut with no issues at all - HA! In reality I'm trying to work on one thing at a time, slowly. But the husband has put a moratorium on any more fabric coming into the house until I finish at least one project I already have. And just as I found a new quilt shop only 5 minutes from my house - It Seam to Be Sew opened in February 2016. They carry modern fabrics and brights. My favorites. Guess I'll have to get back to it no matter how slowly I go. Thank goodness the sewing machine has a Speed Racer setting.
Happy sewing!
